Troubleshooting

Problem:
Forgot Login.
Solution: Press and hold the reset button for 8 seconds to reset the device. The login password will be the default (000000) and all settings will be wiped.  

Problem:
Device will not power on.
Solution: Check USB power cord or try another USB port.


FAQ

Q:
Can the receiver operate on 2.5GHz?
A:  Yes, by enabling the ‘Legacy WiFi Mode” setting the receiver will use 5.0Ghz and 2.4Ghz. Please note that this setting will cause a decrease in performance. 

Q:
How do I configure the receiver’s settings?
A: With a computer / smart phone that is connected to the same network as the receiver, open a web browser and enter the ’Direct IP’ address into the address bar. You can then log into the device and change settings.  

Q:
When will the settings marked as “Not Used” in the manual be available?
A: Settings may be added in a firmware update. Please contact support for more info.

Q:
I plugged the ELMO Cast into my computer, how do I stream to it now?
A: You cannot use the ELMO Cast with a computer. You can only use the ELMO Cast with a display device such as a TV, monitor, or projector.
