OX-1 not powering on

If your OX-1 is not turning on please review this article for suggestions.


1 - If you just plugged in your OX-1 camera to your computer and nothing is happening, it is because you are not running software. The OX-1 requires software to use and will not start presenting on its own. Please visit our website for software. The software must be open and running to see your camera and to use the LED light.

      Windows and Mac: Image Mate 5 Download

      Chromebook: Image Mate Cloud (Please disable any ad blockers before using)

Please make sure only one instance of the software is open at a time. Having multiple Image Mate windows open will prevent the camera from connecting.



2 - If your OX-1 is not working in software, first try changing the USB port you are plugged into on your computer. Please also make sure you are plugged directly into your computer and not into a USB hub. A USB-C dongle for Macbooks is fine to use as long as it is the one-to-one dongle and not the multiport converter.



3 - If changing the port does not work, please then try connecting the OX-1 to another computer to rule out any computer issues. You can also try replacing the USB cable if you have another. The OX-1's USB cable is a generic USB Type-B to Type-A 2.0 cable (sometimes known as a Printer Cable) that can be found on many devices or purchased online.
