TT-12iD and TT-12i Troubleshooting

Having trouble setting up your TT-12iD / TT-12i document camera? Use this article to troubleshoot common issues!

Issue: Document Camera not recognized by computer.
Most Common Cause: Cable issue.
Solution: Connect camera to your computer using the USB output. Do not use a USB Hub or Extender. 
Secondary Cause: Faulty USB Cable.
Secondary Solution: Replace USB Cable.



Issue: Document Camera recognized by computer, but not software.
Most Common Cause: Incorrect USB mode setting.
Solution: Set camera to UVC Mode - TT-12i and TT-12iD USB Mode
To use legacy software (Image Mate 3 and older), please set the camera to Application Mode


Issue: No Video Output.
Most Common Cause: Incorrect output settings.
Solution: Set output switches on the side of the ELMO to the correct resolution and output type. See manual for details.   
Secondary Cause: Faulty Cable.
Secondary Solution: Replace Cable.



Issue: Flashing blue power button LED 
Most Common Cause: Faulty AC adapter
Solution: Replace with known working AC adapter to check operation. 
Secondary Cause: Faulty mainboard
Solution: Factory service is required. 



Issue: Power button LED remains red / does not turn blue 
Most Common Cause: Faulty AC adapter
Solution: Replace with known working AC adapter to check operation. 
Secondary Cause: Faulty mainboard
Solution: Factory service is required. 



Issue: Camera head will not stay in horizontal position.
Most Common Cause: Loose screws in camera stay assembly.
Solution: Reference ELMO Technical Bulletin.
